Membership Agreement
Membership Fees for 2014 are as follows:
 *        Family Rotation---$1,200  2 adults and their children

 *        Single membership half a Rotation, 600.00 (two memberships = one rotation)

  1. P.L.S.C. membership begins on or about May 1, and ends October 1.  Since P.L.S.C. does not control the water level of Pioneer Lake, P.L.S.C. will not guarantee or be responsible for possible loss of ski time, damages, or injuries, due to the water level or lake conditions.  You ski at your own risk!!!  It is your responsibility to determine a safe skiing/boat condition.

  1. Because of insurance requirements all members will be required to join USA Water Ski (800-533-2972 or USAWATERSKI.ORG) as a competitive member. All members are required to have insurance USA water ski competitive membership and  FULL BOAT COVERAGE INSURANCE.  Also, any member who allows a guest to drive a boat on the lake will have their membership privileges revoked immediately, and lose all membership-fees paid!!!!!  All boats must be pre-approved, before they enter the lake. Our number one concern is SAFETY at the lake!!!

  1. When other rotations are present, a rotation will be a maximum of 6 passes through the course or equivalent to 15 minutes, whichever comes first.  An arriving member’s rotation will start after the current rotations ski again.  Please remember, it is not mandatory that one club member pull another; however, courtesy and consideration are recommended whenever possible.

  1. You may ski during the following hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday—8:00a.m.until 10 minutes before dusk (as reported by local news)
Tuesday, Thursday—8:00a.m. Until 4:00p.m.
Saturday—8:00a.m.-12:00p.m.   Or  4:00p.m.until 10 minutes before dusk (as reported by local news)
* Advanced notice will be given if the lake is ever closed for special events.


  1. Membership includes the use of Pioneer Lake for WATERSKIING ONLY—NO BAREFOOTING or other dangerous behavior will be allowed, due to shallow water.  All boats and equipment must be approved by PLSC before being used at Pioneer Lake.  Because of the close proximity of boats and skiers, SWIMMING IS NOT ALLOWED.  ALL CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 8 WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A LIFE VEST AT ALL TIMES.  CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 WILL BE ATTENDED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES.  ONLY TRAINED MEMBERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE BOATS—NO EXCEPTIONS!

  1. Members may occasionally bring skiing guests to the lake, under the following conditions:
·         P.L.S.C. must give advanced authorization for guests (Dale 721-4355), and the P.L.S.C. liability waiver (located in the log book) must be signed before anyone enters the water or the boat!!
·         The guest will take ski turns within the member’s rotation.
·         Individual guests are allowed only two visits to Pioneer Lake.  Then, they will need to consider a membership for further skiing at Pioneer Lake.
·         As a member you are responsible to monitor the behavior of your guests.  Your guests must comply with all of the rules in this agreement.  As this may affect your membership privileges!!
·         Persons who are observing from the dock or in the boat are also required to sign the liability waiver and follow the rules within this agreement.

  1. Members are expected to do everything in their power to promote good relations with the neighbors and the community.  No boat shall be operated on the lake before 8:00am or after sunset (as reported by local news channels.)  Please be careful and drive well within the speed limit in the surrounding areas.  This also includes the expectation that members will promote good relationships with other members.  Please be respectful and nice to each other.  When arriving at the lake leave your personal problems behind and remember you are there to HAVE FUN!!!

  1. If you dislodged or damaged a buoy in any way, you need to reattach it or replace it with a new buoy (located in the equipment boxes) before you leave.

  1. The last member to leave the lake is responsible for locking the gate, equipment boxes, the bathroom facilities, and to pick up any garbage or objects that have been left behind.  Every member is expected to clean-up after themselves (please take your garbage home.) 

  1. Alcohol, drugs, glass-containers, fishing, hunting, and trapping, etc. are not allowed at the lake.

  1.  P.L.S.C. reserves the right to terminate any membership at its sole discretion.  If a membership is terminated at the option of P.L.S.C. without breach of this agreement by the member, the member will receive a pro-rated refund of their membership fee.  Failure of member(s) to abide by any and all of the requirements set forth in this agreement will result in termination of all membership privileges, and loss of all membership fees paid.   With notice to members, P.L.S.C. reserves the right to change or add to this agreement as situations arise.

  1. For insurance purposes, all members and quests are required to sign-in and out on the log-book.

  1. Liability Waiver:
I hereby acknowledge by my signature that I, or in the case of a minor, as legal guardian, have read, do understand, and accept all the terms and conditions of this agreement for myself, and (or) in the case of a minor, do the same on their behalf.  I do further attest that I recognize and accept the special conditions at Pioneer Lake located at 4125 West 1500 North, Plain City, Ut., and do accept those risks as conditions of membership for myself and (or) on behalf of the named minor for whom I am signing.  I, or the minor for whom I am signing, further understand, appreciate, and accept the potential risk of personal injury inherent in participating as a member of the Pioneer Lake Ski Club.
